Fine Art Printing Services

Artists Services

Digital capture of your art for setting up your website is one service that is available.

Slides – Do you need high quality professional slides for submitting entries? I can do that as I still have a film camera.

Note cards can be laid out and printed or just captured and saved to a CD for future printing.

Fine Art Printing Services are a three step process.

The first step is the Setup phase where digital capture is made of your art either by scanning or taking a high resolution digital print.

The second step is the proofing and color adjusting needed to match your original work. You will get an 8 X 10” proof on your choice of paper. Once approved, a CD with your image will be provided. I have very exacting standards and will work with you to meet your standards.

The last step in this process is the sizing and printing. I can print up to 24 inches wide on my Epson 7600 printer using ultrachrome pigment inks. These inks when used on a variety of paper choices produce archival prints that are equal to the original. Another printer I have uses K3 ultrachrome pigment inks which are especially good for black and white prints on either matte or luster papers and can print up to 17 inches wide.

Once the proof is completed, future giclée prints are available as needed and are less expensive because the upfront work has already been done.

What is a giclée? (Pronounced “gee-clay”)

Giclée is a French word meaning to “squirt” or “spurt” and is a highly sophisticated inkjet printing process that was introduced in the late 1980’s. These prints are created from high-resolution digital images, using the best quality ink and paper available, resulting in color saturation and image detail that far exceeds other types of printing. Results are archival and are museum quality works of art.
